Wrestling Promo

Recently I have been volunteering as an assistant wrestling coach for the Seneca High School Golden Eagles. Since being there, I've not on only gotten back into shape, but I've gotten the opportunity to catch up with some old friends and mentors as well as meeting many new ones in the process.

Every now and then I try to get some good footage of the team. It reminds me of the good old days...But anyway, here is a one minute promotional video for the team that I shot and edited using my 7d and Final Cut/AE. All of the matches are from the recent winter tournament held at Princeton High School this past Saturday.

This was totally for fun, and I hope to shoot a few more throughout the rest of the season. Hopefully after Christmas I'll have some more equipment to mess around with!

EE News

This was part of my first television production class back at Full Sail University. I thought it was lost forever but thanks to Jamie Davenport, I finally found it. This is a pretty funny news show, mainly written by Ryan Redmond who also acted in it with Andrew Bond, Joe Coons and other big names..

I was a Segment Producer, writer and editor of the Dating Segment at the end. I was the sound mixer for the live production. You gotta love the classy soundfx.

Stay With Me

Stay With Me by Madeira.

Music Video directed by Shane Radacosky.
Lit by Michael Giannaccio and Jake Czepiel.
Camera - Mike Giannaccio, Jake Czepiel and Shane Radacosky.
Edited by Shane as well.

These are some super friendly guys to shoot with and to talk to. They made this shoot fun and easy. For having just a small light kit and pretty much no budget, this came out pretty well.

Back in School..

I started school yesterday. It doesn't really feel like much, since its an online course, but it is work. I like to remember the simple days when a playground was part of school.

Did you know that some high schools have a recess period? Well I didn't. Anyway, here's this picture I took near a school.

There were no children present I swear. It could have been a little awkward hanging out by a school playground with a camera.

BackRoads

There are some real shady spots in Florida. Being in Orlando most of the time, you don't see too much of the deep south looking areas that you would in other southern states. However, when you do run into those places..they scare the crap out of you. I'm glad I wasn't here at night. Seriously.

It really wasn't that bad at all, there just happened to be a couple weird looking areas.

Traveling Team

I went to see my brother Xavier's baseball game for the first time since i left high school. I took a few pictures of the team. My brother is number 4.

They won 12 to 7. I'll be around so I should have some more recent baseball pictures soon. Hpefully then I'll actually get some of my brother.

Scenic Sunset

Coming back from St. Augustine earlier, I drove by a freaking amazing looking sky. I had to pull over and snap a shot. No color correction, this is what it looked like.

I was a little late to catch the sun in this picture, but a few days ago I saw it in this exact same spot and it looked amazing. Like the beginning of The Lion King amazing. Unfortunately I did not have my camera on me that day. eh.

Garbage

After stepping out of my car not too long ago, I came upon this sickening image: A microwavable "burger in a bag" that had been brutally run over by a vehicle. It was a disturbing wake up call that got me thinking, "this could be my future if I don't keep moving up in the world. It's further motivation for something I shouldn't need motivation for. So, keep shooting, and I won't turn out to be a smashed meal.

Despite what you may think after reading, I'd like to think this was an informative post..thank you.

Solid.

It was a good week, working on shoots every day, almost. A couple action sports videos as well as a few music videos. Sorry if I sound over excited, I just know this kind of work doesn't come too often and it's a lot of fun.

With school finally over that leaves room for much more. I'll try to get the edits for those shoots up within the next month.

Phone-less

I don't really feel normal without having my cell phone with me. I know that sounds extremely lame but I'm serious. Think of how dependent people have become of their phones. I was just thinking about how hard it must have been 10 - 15 years ago for people and their every day tasks. Time and communication are some of the most important things a person could have, and it feels like I've been missing out on that for the past 4 days.

Of course I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I mean come on, think about how weird it is every time you're standing in an awkward situation. Suddenly you've got an urgent text message (Real or Not, the job is done)! Your phone can be your best friend. It could also be an addiction.

I understand sometimes I'll spend too much time texting friends about pointless garbage, when I know I could be doing something better. I know I'm at risk when I text while driving(I know it's bad, I'm trying to quit). But it's been half a week now and I know I've missed some important calls. I wasn't even able to wish my mother a happy mothers day..Maybe I'm just freaking out right now because I've taken technology for-granted? It's happened before with a lot of things. Maybe now I can get a short burst of freedom from my busy lifestyle? Maybe now I can actually focus on what matters to me? Or maybe I should just get another phone...

...Yeah

Well that clearly didn't work out. I've been a little busy with work and school.
Not to mention I recently struck a man on a bicycle.

Soo, give me a break.

The real purpose of this post is to talk mad bull on Sara Hartman for dissing my blog.

Sara...I'm a boss. And you aren't. Get over it.

Thank you.

So.. Let's see if this works

This whole blogging thing is a little new to me.

My plan is to post something worthy every day for the next year.

I'll do my best to keep up with it. I know for right now there won't be anyone even reading this..

But it's motivation to keep doing something.

We'll see how it goes...

Post Number One

Like it says, you gotta start somewhere.

With everything. Might as well start here with this post.
